Our trip to Idaho/Utah

We left on Tuesday morning to drive to Ogden for the night. Wednesday morning we got up and went to a cool fishing/hatchery place there in Ogden. We caught about 14 fish in 30-45 minutes. That's my kind of fishing!!! The kids were all brave enough to pick up their own fish and put it in the bucket. After our fishing adventure, we drove to Logan to see Grandpa Smiths old chiropractic offices. We also stopped at the Logan temple and the tabernacle. They are both so beautiful. Then we were off to Preston, Idaho to check into our hotel. They had a small hot springs water park at our hotel that my kids loved. Friday evening we went to Twin Lakes and did some jet skiing and boating. They big day was Friday. It was back to the lake for a full day of family time and lake time. We had a great time seeing all our family. We all got lots of sun, but we were tired of sand. Saturday we headed down to Salt Lake for the night. We went to Temple Square and walked around. I always love all the flowers at the temple. Sunday morning we left for home and boy, am I glad to be home! Vacations are great, but it is always nice to be back in your own home, and bed! Now we will get back into the swing of things here at home and wait for another month to pass till our kids go back to school.

See what our kids conned us into!

So, last night we went to a ranch down south that has a little restaurant. Dinner was wonderful and then it happens. The owner/waitress asked my kids if they wanted to go look at some kittens. They then proceded to ask her if they were for sale. "No, they are free" So, needless to say, we came home with a free cat. The kids have 30 days to prove their responsible to take care of the cat. I'll keep you posted on the end results!

Summertime Fun at the Lake!

We had a great time at the lake on Tuesday. Some of the pictures are distant so it is kinda hard to see people. The next day, we realized being on the boat kicks your butt. We were all sore and exhausted. We hope to go again soon!

Summertime Fun at the pool

Our good friends have access to a golf course pool and they are so kind to invite us all throughout the summer to come and swim with them. I wasn't sure how much fun it would be chasing Brayden around this year, but he actually didn't want to get into the water. He loves to be in the water when you are holding him, but yesterday he had no interest. So he just walked around watching all the big kids for 2 hours. Ashton and Emma had a great time in the kiddie pool while Dallin and Taylor were having a blast in the big pool. It was a fun day! Thanks Jill for inviting us again!
