Fun in the Dirt

Today for Earth Day we bought and planted a tree in our front yard. Brayden loves it outside and he is always screaming when the big kids go out without him. So today as we were digging the hole he was playing in the dirt having the time of his life. Emma was piling dirt onto his lap and he was just letting it run through his fingers. Then Emma took him over to the grass and sprayed him with the hose, yes, freezing cold hose water. Poor guy didn't like that very well. Then he was sitting in the grass and our sprinklers turned on! He thought that was ok because it was just a mist of water. Needless to say, he ended up very, very dirty, and very cold. For all of you moms with one or two kids who are always clean and not allowed to play in the dirt, you just wait till you're on #4 or #5 and as long as they are happy and quiet, you won't care what they look like!!! (As long as you are at home and not in public!)

Yesterday it was 77 deg. outside. It was windy, but it was a warm wind. It was so beautiful. The little boys and I went to the park with some friends and had a great time. Now that Brayden is walking more he doesn't tear up his little knees. Enjoy the pictures.

Happy 10th Birthday Dallin

Holy Cow, it has just been birthday after birthday. Dallin is our last one until July so I get a few months off. Dallin chose to go swimming at the indoor wavepool this year. He had a great time. Then we came home and did presents and cake and ice cream. I made him a Pokemon birthday cake, he thought that was so cool! He received Pokemon cards and a new Wii game and a few other small things. He had a great day! The camera batteries ran out when we did presents so all I have is a picture of the cake, sorry. We love you Dallin!

Happy Birthday To Me

I don't mean to toot my own horn but Aaron doesn't blog so I have to post about my own birthday. I am now 31 years young! Man, it feels like I should only be 21. I hope when I am in my 50's I feel like I am only 30! My friends took me out for lunch to Panera and Aaron and the kids took me to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. Yummy food! To all of you younguns' out there, the 30's aren't so bad!

And he's off!

Brayden has been walking along furniture and holding your hands but he hasn't been to interested in walking alone. Finally yesterday he started standing up in the middle of the room and walking by himself. It is amazing how quickly he learned it. Now he is cruising all over by himself. He is still a little wobbly but he is getting better and better by the hour. Now the fun begins!!!

Does this make me a bad mom?

My kids are finally going back to school!!! In our district we get 2 weeks off for spring break. Some years, it's not so bad, other years, I'm ready to move to a different district. The first week went ok. We didn't have anything planned so we just hung out and watched some cool stuff on Discovery channel and History Channel. One day Taylor and I watched the whole series of "Make me a Super Model" on Bravo, don't tell Aaron. It was so much fun. The second week could have been better. The weather hasn't been the greatest so we were stuck in the house almost all week. We did go see "Horton hears a Who" very cute movie. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but it is great to have a break from each other. So needless to say, YAH for school!!
